Skin cancer, anyone?

Well, it's that time again. Spring break is right around the corner! Whoop whoop! Over the past two weeks, Averi and I, along with many other OC freshman have started tanning. Not only have we gained awesome tans, but I've also adopted the name Mel.. As in MELanoma. So the following question has been brought to my attention: Is skin cancer really any different from being outside in the regular sun? Harvard Med. says NO. That's right, Ian McLoud. That's right. There is no safe alternative to natural sunlight, but the sun isn't good for your skin either. So next time you decide to soak up the sun, just remember that it's no different from spending a few minutes in the tanning bed.
